Amazing Grace Notecard Sets (12 cards & envelopes)

My name is Tanya Hart currently of Ayden, NC and a long time friend of the Vernelson family.
I have always admired Rhonda's artistic abilities. When I saw her beautiful note cards about the song Amazing Grace, I knew I had to contact her and tell her my family's story regarding this song.
Amazing Grace has always been one of my dad's as well as mine favorite songs. After 9/11, dad attended a concert in NYC honoring the first responders on 9/11 led by Bill Gaither and Friends. Performing in that concert was a young black man, Wintley Phipps, who related the story and sang - Amazing Grace. In that story shared how the melody to the song was written by an unknown slave on a slave ship. And how John Newton heard that melody and pinned the words that we now know as "Amazing Grace" in 1772. Before John Newton got saved and wrote the lyrics to Amazing Grace, he was a captain of a slave ship! You can look all this up on the Library of Congress today. That is where Newton heard the melody to this song. My dad, Gordon Hart, still almost shouts whenever he hears this song and after serving in West Africa - so do I.
Thanks Rhonda for what I call a "God wink" and creating this "amazing" note card that I will give to my dad for Christmas{2021} twenty years later after he heard this rendition of Amazing Grace.
